Choosing What to Paint

Just because you think a scene is beautiful does not mean it will make a great painting. There are many cues that we need to recognize in order to find that perfect site or reference photo. Learn the thought process and techniques for interpreting the landscape into a perfect composition and for expressing the emotion that inspired you. This course is applicable to any medium. Please note that the instructor’s experience is with pastel, and that is where her expertise lies.
