Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, getting “back to the basics” might be just what you need to jumpstart your creative process. The instructor will encourage students to develop skills through observational painting exercises using either oil or acrylic. Students focus on value as the key to developing form, both the objectivity and the subjectivity of color mixing, ways to achieve correct proportion, and using the viewfinder for personal and strong compositions. Instruction fosters creative and intelligent simplification as well as direct and confident paint application as the route to finding or strengthening your own style.
