Category
Summary
Saturday Oct 2, 10-4 and Sunday Oct 3, 12-4
M: $200/ NM: $250
Description
Instructor: Carolyn Letvin
This two-day workshop will cover the process of taking a basic printmaking process into the field. Using
your current oil painting supplies and some simple tools, you will create beautiful, unique monotype prints
that can stand alone or be enhanced with either dry or water mediums. Each day will include classroom
time for demonstration and critique, as well as time for printmaking outside. It helps to have had some
plein air painting experience. In addition to your usual oil painting supplies and a packed lunch, please
bring some photos that you would like to make into images. We’ll use these during the first stage of
learning the process. Pictures that have a full value range (from dark to light) will work best. There will be
a ½ hour break for lunch on the first day.
