Simplifying the landscape through collage is a perfect foundation for a painting. This concise interpretation helps the artist avoid being seduced by the details and paint with clear, clean color shapes. Painting with the palette knife helps keep colors clean and reduces the tendency to blend and flatten form with muddied colors. Plus there are no solvents, mediums or brushes to clean!  This workshop provides instruction in collage, proper knife use, a limited color palette and creating an exciting landscape composition.  All levels of experience welcome.
