ONLINE CLASS: Approaches to the Figure with Ron Krouk

Our subject will be a live model on video, some filmed models and some inspiring works of art. With both drawing and painting media we'll practice different approaches which will focus your attention on simplifying the figure in space. Relying on observation, we'll practice ways to establish correct proportions and create effective compositions. Emphasis is on the difference between everyday seeing and seeing for the 2-D world of relationships, relative angles and dimensions, shapes, values, and colors. Plan on 3 hours of class time followed by an assignment to be completed during the week. Every level of experience is welcome.
