A real-time class through Zoom video meeting starting at 10am.
This class will meet ONLINE via ZOOM MEETING. Marjorie will send an invitation in advance of join the ZOOM meeting/class and she will be there live during your three hour online class.

Each class begins with a slide show and/or demonstration followed by painting on your own and individual guidance as needed.

To get the most from the class, it is recommended that you paint outside of class time.

Delve into all things watercolor and make your paintings come alive through a studied approach to depicting color and light. 

Work from photos or direct observation.

Seeing/perception is key to working with color. Observation is key to depicting light.

Each week we will work with a key component of color and light:

Week 1 : In class demo and slide talk:Mixing and layering using a full range of warm and cool color to depict light and shadow. Tools to develop your powers of observation.

Working with value and contrast.

Week2: In class demo:  Mixing and layering of analogous and complimentary colors. Review of student work in progress.

Week 3: slide talk: luminosity and color juxtopositions to adjust the color relationships in a watercolor. Final critique
