This class will meet ONLINE via ZOOM MEETING.  Ron will send an invitation in advance of join the ZOOM meeting/class and he will be there live during your three hour online class.

This class explores linkages between drawing and painting and relates it's content to examples from great artists. The drawing time is focused on three skills that directly impact painting and reward continued practice: gesture, contour, and straight lines. Through these, we will explore composition, proportion, shape, value, space, and mark-making as they apply to painting in oil or acrylic. Class painting time will go quickly and you'll be encouraged to continue after class.  The focus will always be on getting the big things right before getting seduced by detail and on observation inspired color and value relationships rather than on “effects.” The class benefits from including people at all levels of experience.
