Is it really a paper or plastic? Artist Gretchen Warsen will demonstrate how this waterproof “paper” can be drenched, scraped, bent, wiped clean, stained, wrapped, and more. Gretchen uses many different media in her own work on this slippery and rubbery surface, and she will show how pencil, watercolor, gouache, ink, and acrylic seem to have a love affair with with Yupo with some wonderfully surprising results. Sick of framing your works on paper under glass? Gretchen will also give different examples of how she finishes her works on Yupo without glass.
