Teri will demonstrate painting in the Tonalist style, where paint is applied in layers of dark tones, muted hues and touches of light to create atmospheric, luminous effects.  With each painting she does, she tries to express not just "an image", but an image that carries emotion; an image that one hopes moves the viewer to take pause and observe slow passages of time, tranquil landscapes, low and mysterious light.  The intimate times of day...twilight...eventide...are what speak to her; when the dance of light, gently sprawling across the land, is the most evocative. This is what moves her to paint with emotion, and to remember to tread lightly upon this Earth.
