The Air In-Between: Seeing and Simplifying in a Charged Landscape

Each of the three days will be a combination of in-studio problem solving and plein-air landscape painting. The studio work will involve specific directed limitations in anticipation of some of the core challenges, contradictions and joys of painting in the open, energized landscape. We will make two paintings each day, one studio painting and one plein-air landscape painting.
Rick Fox has exhibited extensively and is currently represented by Gallery NAGA, Boston. As a 2019 Ballinglen Artist Foundation Painting Fellow, he will be painting in Ballycastle, Ireland in November and December of 2019. Rick has been teaching painting and drawing full-time at the University of New Hampshire since 2010.
