MEDIUM: MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE

As we consider meanings of home as nest and nest as home, participants will save, find, collect, make collage materials for this workshop. On the first day we will paint some new collage papers with exciting and innovative ideas, decide what can work best from materials that we bring from our stash (the workshop materials list will give you ideas for this). We will plan some color harmonies for making collages on the second and third day, and look at a few contemporary collage artists for inspiration. I will also bring some of my own collage work to show. Collages can be as representational or abstract as you wish, and I will help guide you in your decisions through individual and group discussions each day. Sure to be a fun and thought provoking workshop, open to all levels.
