Summary

Kate Chartener will demonstrate how to make a floral arrangement inspired by a work of art...all in conjunction with Art in Bloom at Concord Art. Concord Art's Art in Bloom is starting on Thursday through Mother's day, when the Concord Garden club will make floral arrangements in response to an art exhibit entitled "Henry's Picks", selections from the Concord Art permanent collection of art, on view May 9 - 12 at Concord Art.

Art-Inspired Flower Arranging Demo with Kate Chartener

Kate Chartener studied Art History at Smith College and jewelry design at the Corcoran College of Art + Design. While working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, she became interested in art-inspired floral arrangements through her  association with the Museum’s longtime Master Florist, Chris Giftos.  She has taken floral design workshops with Carolyne Roehm, Ariella Chezar, and Joseph Massie.  Kate is a member of the Garden Club of Concord. 

Kate will do two arrangements - Stuart Shils abstract on paper, Ron Krouk still-life on canvas
