This new figure drawing class puts an emphasis on understanding the general sense of the pose, its gesture and spirit. Charlie will teach you how a longer model pose will allow for greater attention to accuracy of proportions, including anatomical characteristics. With his guidance, students will explore techniques such as working with axis, straight line and constant curvilinear flow. This class is not about finished work, but strictly geared towards sketches and studies. Each class will conclude with a constructive critique of the works done, always keeping in mind that the main point is an appreciation for how others see and draw the same thing. There will be an additional model fee paid directly to the instructor.
