Description
Portrait Drawing from Life in Charcoal and White Chalk
Medium: Charcoal and White Chalk
Instructor: Cyrus Whittier
The portrait is an engaging subject to explore through new drawing mediums and styles. In this class, students will work with a combination of vine sticks, compressed charcoal and charcoal pencils. Through demonstrations and individual instruction, Cyrus will guide you step-by-step through the process, working from the general large shapes to the specific smaller shapes and details that create stunning portraits. Students will work with a live model to understand proportion, anatomy and facial features. Basic drawing skills are recommended, but beginners are welcome, too. There will be an additional model fee paid directly to the instructor.
