MASTER PRINTER WORKSHOP: The Creative Woodcut

Instructor: Julia Talcott
Join master printmaker, Julia Talcott, at Concord Art’s new printmaking facility for a three-day immersion into an absorbing, age-old printmaking process. This intense workshop will teach you how to carve your woodcuts using classic methods, but also highlight and introduce more contemporary approaches to achieve exciting results. Julia will introduce the use of state-of-the-art, non-toxic Akua inks and modifiers, stencils and more! Workshop participants are asked to bring their own sharpened quality woodcut carving tools. The rest will be covered by a materials fee. There will be an additional materials fee paid directly to the instructor.
