Join established printmaker Kate Hanlon, who will teach this four-week introduction class to introduce you to our new printmaking studio at Concord Art.
The aim of this fun class is to introduce students to a variety of printmaking methods that can be used as a vehicle to express and communicate ideas in different ways. Each class will introduce a different technique: drypoint, collagraph, linocut, and monotype, and students will have an opportunity to combine methods and explore creative ink applications to achieve unique variations. Kate will show examples, both historical and contemporary, to stir imaginations. Students will become comfortable and familiar with these new techniques and with printing on our new press. (This class will include a materials fee directly paid to the instructor!)
Please note: this workshop takes place in Concord Art's new print studio. The workshop is limited to 5 participants!
