Acrylic paint is infinitely versatile. This workshop is designed to help you learn how to take advantage of some of the exciting techniques that are made possible by innovations in viscosity and pigment strength.  Learn how to create "acrylic pours" - large areas of fluid paint mixed with medium that feature cells of color. (We do this without open flames or silicone!) We will also be creating "acrylic skins" that can be used for collaging onto canvas or board. Learn how to use commercial or your own hand made stencils to make interesting layers, lines and more on top of previously prepared skins. We'll pour paint onto Mylar and Yupo, as well as fine art papers to make fantastic shapes and images. (This class will include a materials fee directly paid to the instructor)
