Bold and Fearless Full Color Impressionist Painting

This workshop is designed to loosen students up by its bold and fearless approach to using color as taught by Marcia Wise. Students will learn how to simplify scenes into shapes of color values with block studies, working in layers, and integrating simple rounded objects as we move from still life toward creating landscape paintings. Students will be moved along quickly with critiques each day or at the end of each class. We will use the palette knife for painting, as well as brushes. Using a palette knife gets everyone thinking only in terms of color and color placement instead of attention to details. A slideshow and short demos will be included during the workshop.
