Color and Light in the Landscape

This demo by Jill Pottle will focus on painting the landscape in oils and working fast with a limited palette. Jill will demonstrate how she works with a brightly colored underpainting to optimize colors by purposely leaving areas open, creating the illusion of depth. To maximize the freshness of the image, strong brush applications are used to indicate movement, forms, patterns and values. Jill will also present her understanding of the light source and how to capture it in her images.
