Instructor: Linda Packard
A printmaker turned painter, Linda Packard brings her first love of building surface textures and layering colors to her painting process, introducing you to a variety of mark-making and paint-handling techniques. By examining color, value, line and texture, students will discover how to respond to what's happening on the canvas. Experimentation with tools and materials will be the emphasis of this weekend workshop. Come prepared to play and discover through happy accidents. There will be time on the second day for students who prefer to work representationally to incorporate newly learned techniques. Oil will be the medium used for instruction, but acrylics are welcome as well. Solvents will be used.
