Description
Color and Light: Acrylics and Oils
All Levels
Medium: Oil and Acrylic
Instructor: Jill Pottle
Capture the richness of color and light that you see in the landscape. In this workshop led by Jill Pottle, students will paint on a variety of colored surfaces to better understand and use contrasting colors. The underpainting technique will provide a sense of light that is relevant for creating the illusion of depth and atmosphere. Students will also study the work of artists that convey this concept, ranging from Richard Diebenkorn to Connie Hayes. Jill will explain color values, tones and relationships and how to apply these concepts to your work. This workshop will teach you how to create vibrant and colorful paintings.
