Drawing and painting on paper is a fresh and direct way to work because the surface allows for fluidity without hesitation. Whether your work is abstract or representational, using your intuitive hand while responding to materials will bring out spontaneity and a different approach to your practice. Working in a small series, you will build a suite of images as either finished works or to inform later artworks. Starting with drawing, the foundation for structure and composition, we will then layer in with paint. Explore your unique imagery with line and color in both wet and dry techniques. During each session, there will be time for short demos and for critique.
