Working from your seasonal photos and/or sketches, celebrate the essence of summer with landscape paintings that express the exquisite beauty of the season. Bring pictures of the rural landscape, gardens in bloom and townscapes that inspire you. We will work with paring down imagery to essentials, accentuating light effect, strengthening composition and using color to create mood and drama in our pastel paintings, as well as exploring various pastel application techniques presented by this popular instructor. There will be demonstrations, critiques and lots of painting time.
