Still Life in the Landscape in Oil and Acrylic

Come and paint all around Concord for four days this summer. There are so many beautiful spots with doorways, potted plants against houses and wonderful park benches that can be set up with a picnic scene. Painting in real time with natural light is a great way to learn how to see true relationships in color, value and scale. And what a fun opportunity for those of you who enjoy both still life and the great outdoors! The combining of two subjects can assist students in furthering the understanding of composition and design issues. The goal is to work on two paintings each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. This is also a great way to explore still life in a much more exciting environment than a studio set-up. If bad weather occurs we will work inside, looking through windows.
