Kathy creates her lush work on paper using acrylic paint, graphite, and a wide variety of brushes. By letting the drawing itself create space, the platform for the interplay between the drawn line and the painted surface can become an engaging process. During this process, the original idea may fade and discovery through the use of the materials will influence the image. During the demo, Kathy will lead the audience through her unique artistic process as she works spontaneously and intuitively as the dialogue builds.
