Emily Passman, painter and instructor at Concord Art, will discuss her attention to painting the grunge of daily life, finding "beauty in the mundane,” and demonstrating her lush painting technique. The everyday images and objects found among us are what she finds beautiful, and become a reason for her to apply paint to canvas. Join Emily as she demonstrates her process which includes working through a series of the "stuff" piled behind old buildings, some old machines, and the grunge of life often left as discard. "As long as it has color and light, I will find the interest and beauty, and show it to you through paint."
