Tour and Artist Talk: Contemporary Arts International with Yin Peet and Robert Maloney

Join Concord Art as we tour the Contemporary Arts International at the Quarry, located in Acton, Massachusetts. The main building houses national and international works of art and sits on the grounds of a former 12 acre granite quarry. Outside of the main building, you will find over 50 large-scale stone and kinetic sculptures. The mission of CAI, “is to promote the creation, understanding, and appreciation of contemporary art in the global context.” Concord Art will have the chance to tour the facilities and grounds with co-founder, Yin Peet. We will also have the special opportunity to meet and listen to exhibiting artist, Robert Maloney, speak in depth about his exhibition and work at CAI. Maloney’s work explores the theme of the fragility of human memory. The “Building Memories” installation will include the use of intricately constructed wood structures with digital projection and sound.
