With a continued emphasis on watercolor foundations, the class explores a series of new, creative color and subject themed assignments. Students learn to think like a true watercolorist and develop a repertoire of personal imagery. Discover how to strike your own balance between the unique qualities of spontaneity and control by exploring a wide range of techniques including transparent layering, wet into wet, washes, and color mixing. Students are encouraged to work in a small sketch- book outside of class. The instructor provides on-going demonstrations with references to contemporary and traditional watercolor artists.
